  • Potential Combining Athletics with Arkport CSD

    During the school board meeting on February 16, 2017, the respective Superintendents for the Canaseraga and Arkport schools formally introduced the idea of combining our athletic programs.  Over numerous years, we have been able to bring athletes together to provide opportunities and to “save” teams from not being offered.

    The Superintendents and Athletic Directors will be working together over the coming weeks to develop a formal plan to combine our programs.  A plan will be presented to each school board on March 22 (Arkport) and March 23 (Canaseraga).

    A formal recommendation will then be presented during each school board meeting held at the beginning of April – Canaseraga’s meeting will be held on April 6, 2017.

    As the Superintendents and Athletic Directors begin their work, we would like to hear your thoughts / questions / comments / concerns.  Your feedback can be provided by using the following survey link:

    One note: the projected numbers reflect 7th & 8th grade students being on Modified, 9th & 10th grade students being on JV, and 11th & 12th grade students being on Varsity.

    Following their meetings on February 16, 2017, the Canaseraga and Arkport school boards have initiated discussions about potentially merging the school districts. The school boards will be meeting together on Thursday, March 9, 7:30pm, in the Canaseraga Small Gym. Community members from both districts are encouraged to attend. In preparation for this meeting, the districts are requesting feedback using the following survey link:

    This picture attempts to represent the options that exist for the Canaseraga Central School. A question was asked at the 02/16/17 board meeting about the potential options that exist. While this is a VERY simplistic representation of the options before us, it does give a look at the options. There are also many nuances related to each option that cannot be represented in a simple picture.

  • NEW New York State Immunization Requirement
    As of September 2016, all entering 7th and 12th grade students will be required to have a first dose of the meningococcal vaccine to be able to start school.  The flyer is located here:
