The Canaseraga Academic & Recreation Experience (CARE) is an academic/recreation program being offered this summer. Students enjoy breakfast, some academic skills, recreation activites , lunch and field trips!
CCS will be having SPORTS PHYSICALS on Tuesday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 31 at 1pm. Spaces are limited and you need to call Nurse Porter's Office at 607-545-6421 x 106 to be put on the schedule. You need to have your annual physical and have your green sheet signed and be cleared PRIOR to the first day of of practice or you will be unable to participate in sports. Permission slips are available on the CCS Website under the Health Office Tab or you can pick up a packet in the Main Office.
CANASERAGA CENTRAL SCHOOL ANNOUNCES TOP SCHOLARS
Administration at the Canaseraga Central School recently announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2018.
Finishing in the top spot in the class is Brooke Anspach. Brooke is the daughter of Jeff Anspach and Tammy Anspach. Brooke is an active member of the local chapter of the National Honor Society as well as the National Technical Honor Society. She is also a four-year member of school’s basketball and softball teams; captaining both teams in her senior year. In addition, Brooke competed as a member of Academic All-Stars. Miss Anspach enrolled in the New Visions Medical program as a senior. Brooke will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation and begin her studies at The College at Brockport in the fall in the Nursing program.
The class salutatorian is Anna Dailey. Anna is the daughter of Nicole Clancy and Eric Dailey. She is actively involved in the school’s National Honor Society chapter as well as being a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Miss Dailey currently serves as her class vice-president, a member of Academic All-Stars, as well as being a four-year member of the school’s softball team. Anna will complete the New Visions Medical program this spring and attend The College at Brockport in the fall to study Nursing.
The administration, along with the entire staff of the Canaseraga Central School, congratulates Brooke and Anna on their achievements and wishes them well in all of their future endeavors.
Congratulations to Justine Smith. Justine is a nursing assistant student at BOCES. She placed 1st at HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) state competitions in Syracuse, NY. She is now eligible to compete at the national level.
Jesse DeanPrince had the best finish ever for an Ark-Can wrestler at the Section Five State Qualifier Tournament. He finished 4th and ended his season with a record of 44-13.
Way to go, Jesse!
