    On Thursday, November 5, the school district learned that a member of the Canaseraga community tested positive for COVID-19. This is not a person directly affiliated with the school district on a daily basis. However, this has led to a number of individuals in the school building being notified, by the Allegany County Department of Health, that they are direct contacts and must quarantine. It is our understanding the scope of contacts is small.


    Thank you to everyone in our school community for ontinuing to be diligent in monitoring your health and the health of our students on a daily basis. Just a reminder that if you or your children have symptoms, please do not come to school and notify the school nurse.

    The plan is in accordance with the current state guidelines that have been released by the NYS DOH and the NYSED.  If state guidance changes, we will update our plan accordingly.  If the district determines a component or procedure needs to be adjusted, we will update our plan accordingly. 
    Please review this document as a family so parents and students are aware of the expectations as we return to in-person instruction in September.
